Live Blog: Barcelona Versus Inter Milan on Wednesday

Join us on our Facebook fan page for the live commentary: SoccerTrainingInfo on Facebook

In perhaps the biggest game of the year, Inter Milan travels to Barcelona to face the Champions League champs at the Camp Nou. And, fortunately, Inter Milan gets to take a plane rather than in endure a 14-hour two-day bus trip as Barcelona did in the first match.

With Inter Milan winning the first match 3-1, Barcelona will need at least two goals to advance to the final at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid on May 22.

Who will win the match? What team will you be cheering for? Will Eto'o score against his old team. Will Messi get a hat trick again? Follow our live blog on Wednesday as you watch the match. Post comments. Tell us what you think about the players, the coaches, the announcers, and the game overall.

Inter Milan will be without Wesley Sneijder, as he suffered a muscle strain in Inter's Serie A match versus Atalanta. Barcelona will be a little bit happy about this, as Sneijder as been on a tear for Inter. However, you never know what tricks Mourinho has up his sleeve, and Sneijder might make a miraculous recovery and play in the match.

Leading scorers for each team in the Champions League:

Lionel Messi 8 goals
Zlatan Ibrahimovic 4 goals
Alberto Millito 4 goals
Wesley Sneijder 3 goals

Freddy Adu: Didn't You Used To Be The Future?

Grant Wahl's new story on Freddy Adu:

Stray dogs. Freddy Adu sees them everywhere in ThessalonĂki. Scavenging trash in the vacant lot by his practice field. Wandering in packs outside the hotel he called home for two months. Shadowing pedestrians with enough menace to spark visions of giant-needled rabies shots. Greece's second-largest city is beautiful in many respects: the seaside beaches, the bustling restaurants, the sigh-inducing women. But no matter how hard Adu tries, he can't avoid the stray dogs.

DirtyTackle Interviews Landon Donovan

Donovan talks soccer and more with one of the funniest soccer blogs around:

DirtyTackle: Speaking of MLS, after playing against teams like Man United and Chelsea, is it hard to get motivated for a game against, say, FC Dallas?

Landon: Well, there’s – motivation is inside each person. So a lot of people think that because you play Man U or because you play in a World Cup or whatever that’s where you get your motivation. If that’s what you’re waiting for to get your motivation, then you’re not gonna make it as an athlete. My motivation comes from inside, to perform the way that I know that I can perform, whether I’m playing a scrimmage against UCLA, against Houston, in LA, or Man United, or England in the World Cup. For me it’s all the same, so that’s, uh, that’s a non-issue.

Bellamy Quote

Bellamy is a superb footballer but doesn't think he'll stay at Manchester City and doesn't feel close to his many of his co-workers:

"I don't feel close to footballers. Sometimes when I see certain things I'm ashamed to be a footballer,'' he told the News of the World. "I don't go to nightclubs, I don't go to lounge bars, I don't spend my days shopping. That doesn't interest me. I spend a lot of time with my children at home. That's where I feel good.

"I don't know how to be on the pitch as a tourist. Some lads do that but I can't. When I play, I play for real. I never pretend.

"I know I get carried away by emotion. I have always been like that. I don't give a toss whether that pleases people or not. I do my thing. What counts for me is the respect of my family, people who know me, my manager and my team-mates.''

The Arjen Robben Volley in Pictures

Robben couldn't have hit the ball any better. A first time volley that proves to be enough to put Bayern Munich through to the semifinals. It was almost as good as Zidane's volley.

Johan Cruyff on Messi

“He has the capacity to do the difficult things without suffering, without distress … if you suffer, you can’t be the best in anything,” Cruyff wrote in his regular column in El Periodico newspaper. “Leo floats over the field— sometimes you have the sensation he’s not even there, that he’s hiding. But he’s there and the rival knows it.”

Learn how to play like Messi.
