Donovan to Europe?

It looks like Donovan wants to give Europe another shot, and I hope he finds the right team and is able to have some success - find a team in the EPL or La Liga and score some goals over there. But it didn't seem like Beckham was all that excited about Donovan leaving nor was he so high it seemed on Donovan tearing it up over there. I thought he'd sell Donovan a bit more. I thought he'd say more than good luck:

Beckham backed his team-mate's ambition but said he hoped the American would stay at the Galaxy in 2009.

''I'd like to see him remain here but he's 26 years old, I've heard the rumours about him going to Europe and if he does, good luck to him.

''He's a good player, everybody knows that and he's succeeded here in the US so if he does get the chance to go to Europe and enjoy some success over there it's down to him.

''Obviously I hope he stays here because he's valuable to the team.''

Beckham Loan Spell at AC Milan

David Beckham could soon be playing in Serie A for Italian giants AC Milan if the club are successful in a bid to land the Los Angeles Galaxy star on loan.

The former England captain is determined to keep his place in the national team and a spell on loan in Europe during the Major League Soccer close season could be beneficial.

Barcelona Wants MLS Team in Miami

Big clubs want a piece of the American consumer's dollar:

“We hope our bid is strong enough to be selected,” Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, said in a telephone interview from Miami. “This is part of our four-year strategy to develop our image in the States and in this case we believe that Miami is the gateway to America for a lot of people from South and Latin America.”

Spurs Partner With San Jose Earthquakes

Spurs are struggling right now in the EPL, but that hasn't stopped them from making a deal with an MLS team:

''The agreement will focus on football and commercial development that will see the implementation of a best practice exchange program, with the objective of creating a lasting bond between the two clubs.''

Zlatan's Goal

At first I thought he headed this ball in, but he skillfully uses the outside of this foot to angle the ball into the near post. Takes some flexibility just to get your leg up there in front of the defender. See the video here.
